Business Intelligence (BI) is the integration of technology systems with people-driven needs for information to promote sound decision-making. This portal provides links to various sites containing information about public mental health programs and services, surveys, and measures. It is hoped that OMH's efforts for transparency will foster positive relationships among stakeholders, providers, local government, and other state agencies.

The Adult Housing web page presents the Residential Program Indicators (RPI) report. The RPI is a performance measurement reporting tool for adult housing programs in New York State. Viewers can use indicators in the report to evaluate agency residential programs, based on county, regional, and statewide averages.
The ACT web page provides an overview of the ACT program, and up-to-date statistical data on program operations, the demographic and diagnostic characteristics of ACT recipients, and recipient outcomes. Statewide, regional, county and program-level data are available.

The OMH Balanced Scorecard allows anyone to view and assess the agency's progress toward achieving its strategic goals. The Scorecard uses up-to-date quantitative data to compare actual performance against specific measurable targets. Content areas include outcomes experienced by individuals served in the NYS public mental health system, results of public mental health efforts undertaken by OMH, and critical indicators of organizational performance. The OMH Balanced Scorecard is updated quarterly.
The Children, Teens and Families Indicators 'Kids Indicators' Portal expands the availability of data driven measures on youth and family services in New York State. The Kids Indicators Portal includes provider level dynamic reports using information that providers report into CAIRS, the NYS OMH Youth and Family Assessment of Care survey results and Youth Health Indicator quarterly reports.
OMH assessed consumers' perception of care in State-operated outpatient, non-residential programs using the Mental Health Services Survey (MHSS) each year from 2005 to 2008. The Consumer Assessment of Care Portal presents data from the 2008 MHSS. The MHSS measures consumer perceptions of: 1) access to services; 2) appropriateness of services and quality of service delivery; 3) consumer outcomes associated with service delivery; and 4) consumer quality of life. These data are used by OMH to improve the quality of care and promote recovery from serious mental illness. They are also used to fulfill the federal consumer assessment reporting requirements.
The County Profiles Home Page offers consolidated, at-a-glance, and comparative views of key county community characteristics, mental health services expenditures, and outcomes. Its purpose is to enable planners and others to identify service gaps and disparities and plan improved service delivery.
The PCS, conducted every two years, provides a comprehensive one-week "snapshot" of the population served by New York State's public mental health system and the services they receive. View demographic, clinical, and service-related information for each person who receives a mental health service during the specified one-week period. (1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 data are available)
The Provider Directory is a comprehensive list of mental health programs throughout New York State. It includes both licensed and unlicensed programs that are funded by NYS Office of Mental Health. You can search for mental health programs by county, program category or subcategory. A map is also available for selecting programs within a specific county. Details (such as address and phone number) are available for each agency and program. Directory Help provides definitions and descriptions about various mental health programs.
